Shawn Spears initially came to AEW looking for a clean break, but after a year of ups and downs, he has walked away from the promotion and says he will only come back if he feels like it.
Speaking with Tony Schiavone on the December 23 episode of Dynamite, Shawn Spears aired his grievances, quite appropriate for Festivus.
Shawn Spears would equate his time with AEW to that of his time with WWE saying that “you can change the three letters but you cannot change the glass ceiling.” Spears Would reject the black glove given to him by Tully Blanchard saying that he never needed it and he is 95% better than any wrestler in the promotion and can wrestle anywhere he wants before placing the blame on Tony Khan and Cody Rhodes and condemning Tony Schiavone for even suggesting it was his own fault.
