Shayna Baszler's next title challenger is set.
In an online exclusive, William Regal announced that Shayna Baszler will defend her NXT Women's Title next week against Kairi Sane. Under one condition. Baszler stipulated that "when she wins," Sane would not get another shot at the NXT Women's Title. A hesitant Regal agreed to the stipulation, making the match official.

The rivalry between Sane and Baszler goes back to September 2017 when Sane defeated Baszler in the finals of the Mae Young Classic. They had a series of matches in 2018, beginning at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV with Sane defeating Baszler to win the NXT Women's Title. Baszler would regain the belt at WWE Evolution and go on to defeat Sane in a Two Out Of Three Falls match at TakeOver: WarGames II.
