Shayna Baszler Doesn't Consider The NXT Four Horsewomen A Team

Shayna Baszler continues to pit the two Four Horsewomen factions against each other.

WWE has been teasing a MMA Four Horsewomen (Ronda Rousey, Jessamyn Duke, Marina Shafir & Baszler) against NXT Four Horsewomen (Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley Sasha Banks) showdown for over a year now.

The tease began in the middle of the inaugural Mae Young Classic with Charlotte, Becky, and Bayley confronting Rousey, Duke, and Shafir.

At the time, Rousey had not yet officially signed with WWE while Duke and Shafir were months away from starting at the Performance Center. Meanwhile, Baszler was competing in the Mae Young Classic.

Speaking to UPROXX, Baszler continued to work the Horsewomen vs. Horsewomen angle, giving her thoughts on why the NXT Four Horsewomen are a fake team.

"They’re not a team," she started. "They’re not in a stable. Were not just four random guys. This is my whole argument about the thing. People are like, 'Yeah but Charlotte is Ric Flair’s daughter.' But they weren’t just four guys that made history which is their fake Four Horsewomen did. They’re four girls that made history. That’s great, but that’s not what the Four Horsemen did. They were a team. They were a stable. And we’re a team. You don’t see us needing counseling to stay friends and bickering and feuding over … You know what I mean?"

Baszler is referencing the on-screen drama between Bayley & Banks and Charlotte & Lynch over the past year. Bayley and Banks looked to be headed for blow up early in the year, but a counseling session put them together as a tag team. Meanwhile, Becky turned against her former best friend Charlotte at SummerSlam.

The former NXT Women's Champion is more confident in the bond the MMA Horsewomen have and believes in the loyalty between the time.

"We’re a team. We’ve always been a team. We’ve always had each other’s backs. That’s the way it is. And as far as where I wanna go, I just … wherever I can send the message and the bodies are lined up, that’s where I’ll be right now. And wherever it is I’m gunning for top of where that is. And right now I got my eyes set on getting that title back again," she said. "That’s our loyalty. We’re the real team. We’re the real team. (Betrayal) is stuff happens with that other, that other stable."
