The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus has returned to WWE on the first SmackDown of 2020.
The multi-time world champion made his return to the blue brand after Shorty G successfully defeated Dash Wilder of The Revival. Initially, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder were beating up Shorty G in an effort to gain a measure of revenge when Sheamus’ music hit.

Due to the numbers advantage, it was suggested on commentary that Sheamus might have been there to save Chad Gable, but Sheamus would make good on his words from his return vignettes and Brogue Kick one of the new faces of SmackDown, Shorty G.
