Sheamus Says Edge Gave Him Great Advice, Believes Shorty G Has A Lot Of Talent

Sheamus was sidelined for the majority of 2019 with a concussion, returning to the ring in January 2020 to feud with Shorty G. Sheamus has worked through spinal stenosis in his career and recently said he feels better than ever thanks to his workouts while he was injured

In 2011, Edge had to retire due to cervical spinal stenosis, but managed to get cleared for a return nine years later. Both Sheamus and Edge are now back in the mix in WWE and Sheamus revealed to Gary Cassidy of SportsKeeda that Edge has always been helpful with advice.

"When I came in here, Edge was kind of like, I think Edge was near the end. Without him knowing, when I came in, in 2010, 2009, he was great to me, man. He gave me a lot of great advice and stuff," he said.

Sheamus has picked up consecutive victories over Shorty G upon his return to television, and while the two are enemies on-screen, "The Celtic Warrior" has a lot of respect for Chad Gable.

"Talent-wise, he's great. I watched his matches with [King] Corbin, and we've watched a lot of Shorty G. He has a lot of talent."

Sheamus picked up a victory over Shorty G at WWE Royal Rumble and again on the post-Rumble episode of WWE SmackDown
