Shelton Benjamin says he's never had a problem connecting with an audience.
Replying to a post on X that showcased a match he had with Kurt Angle in WWE, Benjamin responded to comments saying that he had trouble getting over with crowds and didn't have charisma. Benjamin said the person making the remarks probably wasn't old enough to realize, but he'd never had problems getting over with an audience.
The person went on to say that they were a fan of his and had been watching him for a long time, but felt that he didn't get over with WWE audiences. To this, Benjamin asked how he was able to make a fan out of the individual if he had trouble connecting with fans.
He went on to say that being over and being a world champion are not synonymous.
I don’t think you’re old enough to look back far enough so I’ll cut you some slack but Being over with the fans was the one thing Ive never lacked.

How did I make a fan out of you if I never got over with the fans. I seriously need to know how this @MiaYim level of contradiction works pic.twitter.com/f14sZJe3RV

So again, you were a fan, but also according to you I never got over with the Fans, you being among them. Being over & being champ are not synonymous. You not seeing me as champ material I can only respect, so can you answer my question now, we are all still waiting pic.twitter.com/tMEeRBPUtW
