Moxley and Takagi have had two singles matches. Their first was in the 2019 G1 Climax tournament, where Moxley won. They met again at NJPW Battle in the Valley 2024, and Moxley bested Takagi in a No Disqualification match.
The next big event for NJPW is King of Pro-Wrestling on October 12th.
