Shingo Takagi reveals who from Los Ingobernables de Japon he would like to wrestle.
During a Q&A interview with Takagi, the current NEVER Openweight Champion, Takagi was asked that very question and Takagi revealed that it would be EVIL. Takagi elaborated that the two wrestlers have similar styles and that he wanted to do more with EVIL after the two briefly crossed paths during last year's World Tag League, Takagi was excited over the prospect of facing him even more.
"EVIL and I have a similar style, so comparisons are always going to be there. We got into it a little bit during World Tag League, and I thought I?d like for us to do more. I had a pretty positive February, taking the NEVER title on February 1 and winning in my first defence, but he lost in Sapporo. He?s backed up against the wall a little bit, perhaps, but wins and losses aside, I?d like to just wrestle him," Takagi said.
Takagi believes that EVIL might be too focused on his win-loss record, but a match between the two would get EVIL motivated.
"Right. I think maybe he?s a little too hung up on his win-loss record. That?s important obviously, but I think if he faced me, he would get fired up with a different motivation," Takagi said.
