Shinjuku FACE Closing Due To Deterioration Of The Building, Representative Wants To Create New Venue

An update on Shinjuku FACE.

Shinjuku FACE, the venue in Tokyo, Japan that plays host to pro wrestling and live music events, is closing in September 2026.

Yuka Ogawa, who works for Humax Entertainment, which is the company that operates the Shinjuku FACE venue, spoke to reporters (via Tokyo Sports) about the closure. He explained that it is due to the deterioration of the building.

Ogawa added that he’s strongly advocating to Humax Entertainment to create a new Shinjuku FACE. If that is created in Shinjuku and not another location, the name will remain the same.

“I’m strongly advocating for it within the company, and I believe they understand. I want to create something like FACE again… It’s not something decided by the company. After we close in September, I want to reopen as soon as possible. Considering access, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Shibuya, and other stations that can be hubs are very good… If it’s in Shinjuku, the name Shinjuku FACE would be good.”

There are multiple promotions, such as Dream Star Fighting Marigold, DDT, and TJPW, that have upcoming shows at Shinjuku FACE.
