Shinsuke Nakamura Pays Tribute To AJ Styles
Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the greatest rivals of AJ Styles with the two battling in NJPW and WWE for over a decade.
Styles’ last victory came over Nakamura on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24. One week later, Styles lost to Gunther in a match where his career was on the line.
WWE paid tribute to Styles on Monday’s Raw, and Nakamura was present for the ceremony.
On Instagram, Nakamura posted the following message:
AJ left the ring with his family by his side.
That’s the right way to go.
We fought.
We pushed each other.
We made history.
As a rival, I respect him.
As a friend, I’m happy for him.
Much love, brother
On Raw, it was announced that Styles would be inducted into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame.
