Six-Man Ladder Match To Crown New NXT Champion Set For 2/3 WWE NXT
The vacant title will soon have a new holder.
After successfully defending the NXT Championship in the main event of NXT New Year’s Evil, the champion Oba Femi left the title in the ring. It would later be confirmed that Femi relinquished the NXT Championship.
The future of the title was addressed on the January 13th episode of NXT on The CW. The men’s talent roster surrounded ringside while the brand’s General Manager, Ava, was in the ring.
She revealed that there is going to be a six-man Ladder match on the February 3rd edition of NXT to determine a new NXT Champion. Qualifying matches start on 1/20.
A brawl broke out with the male talents at ringside. Keanu Carver, who officially joined the NXT talent roster before the show began, was left standing in the ring following the brawl.
