Smackdown Live Viewership Back Down For Post-Draft Edition

Smackdown Live's ratings came back down to earth following last week's huge WWE Draft episode.

The program drew an average of 2.743 million viewers, a whopping 14% drop from the WWE Draft show, that managed 3.170 million viewers. The show ranked #10 in viewership, trailing The Haves & Have Nots, as well as several programs covering the Democratic National Convention.

Smackdown ranked #2 in the prized 18-49 demographic behind Democratic National Convention coverage on CNN. Even though the show saw a steep decline in viewership, the 1.18 demo rating was the best in over a year and a half, specifically January 29, 2015.

The show was headlined by former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler knocking off AJ Styles, John Cena, Bray Wyatt, Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews to become number one contender for the WWE Title. You can check out our coverage of the show at this link, and our post-show podcast above,
