Smackdown Viewership And Youtube Highs For 12/5 Episode

The December 5 episode of Smackdown Live saw a drop from last week's show.

Only 2.493 million viewers tuned into WWE's Tuesday programming, down seven percent from the 2.680 million that watched last week's show from Lexington, Kentucky. Headlined by Randy Orton vs. Sami Zayn, two of the program's leading characters in AJ Styles and Jinder Mahal were absent.

Smackdown hit #7 in the cable rankings behind Curse of Oak Island, Fixer Upper, Rachel Maddow, Tucker Carlson, Hannity and Special Report. SmackDown was #2 in the 18-49 demographic, after Curse of Oak Island, and #3 overall in non-political shows.

As it pertains to individual segments, the main event of Zayn vs. Orton drew the most viewers on WWE's Youtube page, at 824,690 views as of press time. It was the only clip to hit even 600,000, which is a disappointing mark. Mojo Rawley's backstage interview was the lowest viewed non-video segment overall, at 150,686 views.

Next week will serve as the go-home show for WWE's Clash of Champions PPV.
