Smackdown Viewership Down From Last Week

After last week's high following the big Raw vs. Smackdown angle, Smackdown this week is back down.

Showbuzz Daily is reporting that the show scored 2.11 million viewers, which is down heavily from last week's 2.69. Despite that, it was ranked number two for the night, with only American Horror Story on FX topping it, which also suffered from lower ratings despite being the number one show of the night on cable.

In terms of the 18-49 demographic, they scored a 0.65 rating, which is down from last week's 0.81. 

This week's show featured more superstars competing in matches to determine the Smackdown side of the Survivor Series elimination match. Bobby Roode defeated Dolph Ziggler and Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Kevin Owens earn a slot on the team alongside Shane McMahon and Randy Orton.

It also furthered the Raw vs. Smackdown storyline in general, with Shane McMahon explaining his reasons on why Smackdown attacked Raw last week. He promised that Raw would have hell to pay for what they did to Daniel Bryan.

AJ Styles and Rusev will compete next week to determine the final participant in the match. Next week's show will also have The Usos vs. Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable for the Smackdown tag team titles.
