SmackDown Viewership Takes Another Nosedive, Hits New Low With 5/16 Episode

Last night's episode of SmackDown Live, a loaded show that featured AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal as well as Baron Corbin vs Randy Orton, drew just 2.175 million viewers, according to ShowBuzz Daily. This is down over 7% from the 2.348 million viewers that watched last week's pre-taped show from London and represents a new low for 2017.

SmackDown came in at #9 in viewership on cable for the night, behind the NBA Playoffs on ESPN, the NBA Draft Lottery, Tucker Carlson, Hannity, Rachel Maddow, Last Word, The Story and Special Report. SmackDown did manage to take #4 in the highly coveted 18-49 demographic, behind the NBA Playoffs, the NBA Draft Lottery and SportsCenter, all on ESPN.

By contrast, Monday night's episode of RAW drew 2.751 million viewers, which is up from last week's 2.696 million viewers, but still the second-lowest of the year for RAW.
