Smackdown Viewership In The Toilet

This week's episode of Smackdown hit incredibly low viewership numbers.

Tuesday's Smackdown Live drew 2.127 million viewers in the overnights, according to ShowBuzz Daily. This represents a hearty 11.6% drop from last week's 2.405 million viewers.

The show saw its lowest audience since it went live on July 19 to kick off the WWE Brand Extension era. The number is also lower than what Smackdown had seen on Thursdays before the move.

This week's episode saw Dean Ambrose take on AJ Styles, with a future opportunity at Styles' WWE title on the line. Ambrose had fan-favorite James Ellsworth in his corner.

Smackdown had stiff competition this week, and landed at #8. The World Series and NBA opening night, as well as several election themed political shows beat out Smackdown, which managed to hit #4 in the 18-49 demographic.
