Sasha Banks will be in action at the Royal Rumble.
Ever since she pinned The Boss on New Year's Day, Carmella has been gunning for Sasha Banks' SmackDown Women's Championship. Over the last few weeks, Carmella has interfered in The Boss' matches, broken a champagne bottle over her back, and mocked her topping Sports Illustrated's Best Wrestlers of 2020 list.
On the January 15 episode of SmackDown, Sasha confronted Carmella backstage and agreed to give her a title match. The catch, however, Banks wanted to face off against Carmella's sommelier sidekick first.
Reginald accepted Sasha's challenge and faced her, one-on-one, losing after getting caught in the Banks Statement and tapping out. He impressed in the match, showing off his Cirque du Soleil skills in the process. Following the match, Michael Cole stated that Carmella would get her title shot at the Royal Rumble event on January 31, 2021.
