'Smart' Mark Sterling agrees that wrestling is cinema.
Over the past few years, wrestling fans have begun to call big angles in pro wrestling 'cinema', with wrestlers such as Roman Reigns playing into the term and mentioning it in promos. One person who understands cinema all to well is 'Smart' Mark Sterling, who previously worked as an assistant editor on Oscar nominated film 'If A Tree Falls'.
While appearing alongside The Premier Athletes in a new episode of Hey! (EW), RJ City asked Sterling if he feels wrestling is cinema given is background in film.
"Yeah, I believe so, for sure, for sure, and that background has actually helped me a lot. I think just understanding shots and how to tell a story, things like that."
Sterling and The Premier Athletes have been largely featured on Ring Of Honor programming as of late.
