Smoothie King Center Postpones 3/20 WWE SmackDown

If WWE SmackDown is going to take place on Friday, it won't be in New Orleans.

The Smoothie King Center announced that the Mar. 20 episode of SmackDown has been suspended.

Due to the recent developments with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and the directive from Governor Jon Bel Edwards that there are to be no public gatherings larger than 50 people, all events scheduled through April 13th at the Smoothie King Center has been suspended.

Last Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown, originally scheduled for Detroit, took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. Monday's WWE Raw will also take place at the WWE Performance Center.

Currently scheduled for Friday's SmackDown is a contract signing between Roman Reigns and Goldberg and an appearance by former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Furthermore, the live event scheduled for Thursday, Mar 19 has also been canceled. The live event was scheduled for the Mobile Civic Center in Mobile, Alabama.

EVENT UPDATE – 3/16/2020: The WWE live event scheduled for this Thursday, March 19 in Mobile, AL has been cancelled. Refunds are available at all points of purchase.
