Ruca's reign continues.
Kicking off NXT Battleground was a Women's North American Championship match between Kelani Jordan and the champion Sol Ruca.
It was the second time that Ruca and Jordan met on a Premium Live Event. They last met at Heatwave in the summer of 2024.
During the bout, Ruca's partner ZARIA was ejected from ringside for helping Ruca and the referee saw her.
The conclusion of the bout saw Ruca hit Jordan with an inverse 'Sol Snatcher' off the top rope to secure the win. It was Ruca's first defense of the belt.
