Sol Ruca comments on what she hopes to accomplish in her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship reign.

At WWE Clash In Italy this past Sunday, Sol would capture her first championship on the WWE main roster, defeating Becky Lynch to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. However, Sol has previously been a champion in WWE NXT where she would hold both the North American and Speed Women’s Championships.

While speaking to WWE Now following WWE Clash In Italy, Sol Ruca spoke about what she hopes to accomplish in her latest championship reign.

“I mean, I definitely want to be a fighting champion. I want to defend this thing as many times as I physically possibly can. You know, I was a double champion on NXT with the Women’s Speed Championship and the North American Championship, and I feel like my reigns were not up to par with how I feel like I can be as a champion. So I’m wanting to kind of prove myself a little bit more as a champion this time. I want to, you know, give championship opportunities to literally whoever comes and whoever’s ready. I don’t want to be the person that doesn’t, you know, that says, like, ‘you’re not ready to be here.’ Shots at Becky Lynch for, you know, doing that to me. But, you know, I want to be the person that’s, you know, open and, you know, potentially bringing some girls from NXT to defend this title.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Sol spoke about her online critics. You can read more about that here.
