Sol Ruca States That It’s Terrifying Doing The Sasuke Special

Sol Ruca speaks about one of the moves in her arsenal.

Sam Roberts welcomed Sol Ruca back onto Notsam Wrestling Live!, and as they were discussing some of the moves in Ruca’s répertoire, Ruca spoke about how terrifying it is to do the Sasuke Special.

“I feel like I have both of those sides in my head sometimes. I have one mentality that’s like, okay, well, that’s the worst that could happen and I can learn and grow from that and lightning doesn’t strike twice… But then, also, knowing that that’s happened before when I do it and I’m a little bit more nervous for it but then I nail it, I’m like, ‘Hell yeah.’ That feeling, I get chills every time. The Sasuke Special for example is absolutely terrifying to me. Every time I do it, I’m like, ‘Why am I doing this?’ But when I nail it, I’m like, ‘Hell yeah. That was so sick’ and I have hit my feet on the ropes before and I remember the first few times I did it, I did it very clean and then the first time I hit my feet on the ropes, I was like, oh my God, that was absolutely terrifying. But then I just had to keep doing it because the more reps I do, the more consistent I’m gonna be and things happen. We are doing live performances and that’s just part of what we do… In my opinion, it makes us a little bit more human seeing that we make mistakes but it’s how we overcome them and how we move forward and continue the match.”

Ruca is coming off competing in the 2026 women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match. The winner of the bout was Tiffany Stratton.
