Solar II Passes Away At Age 66
Solar II (Pedro Buenrostro Gomez) has passed away. He was 66.
He had been dealing with health problems in recent days.
The news was confirmed by his brother Solar I, who wrote, “With deep regret and immense pain, we communicate the death of Pedro Buenrostro, ‘Solar Segundo, dear brother, family member and friend,” says the family’s message, who also recalled the mark left by the fighter among those who had the opportunity to meet him throughout his life.”
He made his debut in 1975, competing in CMLL for the majority of his career. He won the NWA World Welterweight Championship in 1988. He lost his mask and hair in 2002, which is the same year he retired.
