Soma Takao Departing DDT Pro-Wrestling
Soma Takao is exiting the promotion.
DDT Pro-Wrestling held a press conference, and talent Soma Takao announced that he is leaving the promotion at the end of September 2026.
The 38-year-old Takao has been with DDT since 2013. He was also serving as the manager of a pro-wrestling and sports bar-themed restaurant in Shinjuku. He’s stepping down from that role on September 30th.
He will continue wrestling as a freelancer. He said he considered many factors before deciding to leave DDT. He added that he does not know if he’s making the right choice, but he will give his all in wrestling.
Takao’s final match for DDT is set for September 27th in Shinjuku.
