Sonya Deville Comments On Potential In-Ring Return

Sonya Deville was forced to leave WWE when she lost to Mandy Rose at SummerSlam 2020.

However, Deville returned to the company on January 1, 2021 on SmackDown. Deville took up a new role as the assistant to Adam Pearce, who is an on-screen authority figure, but not the official general manager of the brand.

Does that mean Deville is done in the ring?

"I don't know right now," she said when asked about a potential in-ring return on WWE's The Bump. "I like rocking my three-piece suits every week and calling the shots. Being in charge is something that comes naturally to me. I think I'm a born leader and I like this new role, but you know, I'm Sonya Deville and I'm a fighter at the end of the day. I love to get down and dirty and kick ass. I'm sure everything will come full circle eventually."

Deville hasn't wrestled since losing to Rose at SummerSlam.

Elsewhere during the interview, Deville noted that she feels she has a good pulse on the locker room and wants to continue to see superstars step up on the brand.
