Sonya Deville's Stalker Denied Bail

Phillip Thomas II, the man who stalked and attempted to abduct Sonya Deville, was denied bail and will remain in jail.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Hillsborough Circuit Judge Catherine Catlin labeled Thomas as a "threat to the community" saying, “I don’t see any way we can protect our community in Hillsborough County if we give him bail. A GPS on him gives me no peace of mind. A GPS monitor does nothing for me.”

Thomas' public defense lawyer was seeking $2 million bail and for Thomas to be monitored with an electronic device.

Deville was present for the pre-trial hearing, testifying against Thomas.

Thomas II was arrested for stalking and breaking into Deville's home on Sunday with news reports saying he had planned for eight months to abduct her. He is being charged with aggravated stalking, armed burglary of a dwelling, attempted armed kidnapping, and criminal mischief.

Deville previously gave her account of what happened in court documents, revealing Mandy Rose was with her at the time of the attempted abduction.

Deville and Rose are still scheduled to compete in a hair vs. hair match on Sunday at WWE SummerSlam.
