The first AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event aired on June 26, 2022. Following the event's success, AEW President Tony Khan hinted that there would be a sequel, but once again, nothing has been confirmed or officially announced.
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door was headlined by Jon Moxley against Hiroshi Tanahashi. AEW and NJPW continue to exchange talent for events. Recently, Eddie Kingston took part in NJPW Battle in the Valley on February 18.
