Speedball Mike Bailey got Bandido’s blessing before signing his contract for his AEW International Title Shot at Grand Slam Mexico.
At AEW Redemption this past Sunday, Speedball would feature in the opening contest of the pay-per-view, which would be a ladder match to determine the next number one contender for the AEW International Championship, with Bailey taking the contract home. Later on in the show, Kyle Fletcher would successfully retain the championship against Bandido, with it being made official that Fletcher and Bailey would meet for the title at AEW Grand Slam Mexico.
During his latest vlog covering AEW Redemption, Speedball Mike Bailey would approach Bandido backstage after his loss, and with his blessing, signed his contract for the match with Fletcher at Grand Slam Mexico.
“But out of respect, I want you to be the first to know that I’m going to be challenging Cal Fletcher at AEW Grand Slam in Arena Mexico. Sign the contract right now with your blessing.”
Bandido would congratulate Speedball, noting that he hopes Bailey wins the championship and the pair can meet for the title at a later date.
Elsewhere in the same vlog, Speedball reflected on winning the opening contest of the pay-per-view. You can read more about that here.
