'Speedball' Mike Bailey Says He Has Not Signed With Any Promotion

'Speedball' Mike Bailey clarifies his current contract status.

On May 21, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported Mike Bailey and WWE were "working on a deal." WWE was reportedly working on getting Bailey's via issues resolved first.

In an interview with Liam Alexander-Stewart of Inside The Ropes, Bailey clarified his current contract status.

"I mean I am very focused on long-term goals and I am still not signed anywhere right now, if that is the question," he said. “Of course, I’m not specifically goal orientated. I will take whatever opportunities arise and go with it. I have a long-term goal with wrestling which is to become a millionaire and share my passion and teach a good objectively fun replicable version of wrestling to as many people as possible but there are many steps between myself and that. I’ll get there by whatever way makes the most sense. When I have anything to confirm or deny, I won’t do it on my Twitch channel.”

Bailey has been banned from entering the United States for the past five years after being stopped trying to enter the country to work a show for EVOLVE in March 2016. Bailey attempted to get a work visa through CZW, but it never came to be.

Bailey has remained active over the last five years, working for promotions such as wXw, Revolution Pro Wrestling, OTT, PROGRESS and more. He's also worked on international shows for Ring of Honor.

He last wrestled in September 2020 in Canada.

Fightful will continue to update fans on the status of Bailey as more is known.
