Speedball Mike Bailey talks about his tag team with Kevin Knight.
Speedball Mike Bailey is now working for AEW. He's currently teaming up with Kevin Knight as part of JetSpeed.
While they haven't been teaming together for long, Bailey says he's enjoying the pairing. When discussing the new tag team with Renee Paquette on an episode of Close-Up, he would say that it was a random pairing, but they decided to stay together because the vibes were there.
"Man, it's crazy how that happened. It was just a random pairing. It started in a four-on-four match, but then we just became a tag team off the vibes."
Speedball explained that the reason he thinks he connects so well with Kevin Knight is because they both traveled the world wrestling in front of different audiences.
"I've been wrestling a lot longer than he has, but still, in his relatively short career, he's done a lot of traveling, yes, and I feel like that's what really made me the wrestler I am today, going and wrestling in so many different countries, having to wrestle in front of so many different audiences, against so many different kinds of opponent. He trained with New Japan in America, and he spent his entire career going back and forth between America and Japan, having to learn both styles, having to adapt to both audiences. I think that international style is really what makes the team work."
JetSpeed will be the next to challenge Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. They will face The Hurt Syndicate at AEW All In Texas.
