AEW taped the upcoming episode of AEW Dark: Elevation on September 1 from the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL.

Max Caster made his return to AEW during the AEW Dark: Elevation taping, helping Anthony Bowens pick up a victory over Griff Garrison.
Caster has not wrestled since the August 3 episode of AEW Dark when he had questionable lines during his pre-match rap. The rap initially aired during the live showing but was cut from the video on demand.
Tony Khan stated that the rap should not have aired and he would take more control over AEW Dark.
Caster was taken off television, The Acclaimed were dropped from the AEW rankings, and Bowens continued as a singles talent.
