During Tuesday's IMPACT Wrestling tapings in Las Vegas, a former ECW and NWA Champion returned to the company.

During a segment featuring Tommy Dreamer and Eli Drake, the lights went off and when they came back on, Raven stood in the ring. The former ECW enemies turned Tag Team Champions attacked Drake. At some point during the tapings, Drake would defeat Dreamer in a No Disqualification bout.
The return of Raven and the angle with Drake serves two purposes for the company. First, IMPACT Wrestling is building towards a Monster's Ball Match between Drake and Abyss at the Homecoming event on Jan 6. Second, IMPACT Wrestling is bringing back well-known wrestlers from The Asylum days, also in an effort to build towards Homecoming, which will be held at the Asylum in Nashville, Tennessee.
Raven spent seven years in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling, winning the NWA World Title in 2005. He last competed in the company on November 12, 2010, where he defeated AJ Styles at the Farewell at the Asylum event.
