During the NXT UK tapings, it was revealed that Tom Phillips is the new lead announcer for NXT UK. Phillips will replace Vic Joseph, who has since moved on to WWE Raw. Phillips previously helmed the SmackDown Live booth on Tuesdays. Nigel McGuiness remains as the lead analyst for NXT UK.

It was announced on Sept. 26 that the announce teams on Raw and SmackDown would be shaken up as part of WWE Premiere Week. The new Raw announce team consists of Joseph, Dio Maddin, and Jerry "The King" Lawler. Meanwhile, Michael Cole and Corey Graves have been moved to SmackDown with Renee Young contributing as well.

The move left fans wondering what would happen to Joseph, who had been the lead announcer on SmackDown since March 2017.

Fightful will have full results from the tapings following their conclusion.
