Big news coming out of the NXT tapings.
NXT is taping the July 27 episode of the program on July 21 at the Capitol Wrestling Center. During the tapings, a big return and turn took place.

Following a tag team bout between Timothy Thatcher & Tommaso Ciampa against Pete Dunne & Oney Lorcan, Ridge Holland made his return to NXT.
Holland had been sidelined since October when his leg collapsed trying to catch Oney Lorcan on a Plancha. Holland fractured his left ankle and then dislocated his kneecap and ruptured his patella in his right knee.

Later in the tapings, NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez asked anyone to step up and challenge her for the title. No one answered the call, prompting Dakota Kai to call Gonzalez the most dominant champion as long as she has her back.
Kai no longer has the back of Gonzalez, kicking her in the face and holding the title up.
