Stephanie McMahon is stepping away.
Stephanie took to social media to announce that as of May 20, she will be taking a leave of absence from the majority of her responsibilities at WWE.
She noted in her statement that she will be focusing on her family.
As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.— Stephanie McMahon (@StephMcMahon) May 19, 2022
McMahon currently serves as Chief Brand Officer of WWE and makes various media appearances promoting the brand while working behind the scenes on deals. She was present for the WWE quarterly financial call on May 5.
She has not wrestled since WrestleMania 34 and has only made a limited number of television appearances, serving as an on-screen authority figure, since the match.
Fightful will provide more details on Stephanie's leave of absence if they are known.
