Stephanie McMahon Is A Big Fan Of AJ Lee, Would Like To See Her Back In The Women's Division

AJ Lee retired in 2015, and while there are no signs of her wanting to return to the ring, it doesn't mean she wouldn't be welcomed back.

Lee was at the forefront of the WWE women's revolution, dropping the Pipe Bombshell promo in 2013. Though #GiveDivasAChance wouldn't trend for another two years, Lee's impact on the division can't be understated. And Stephanie McMahon remains a big fan of the former Divas Champion.

Samoa Joe To Be Added To AEW Fight Forever As DLC On May 8

"I would love to see AJ Lee back in the women’s division. I think AJ Lee was an incredibly compelling character. Some of our most interesting and intriguing storylines were with AJ, and I think she deserves as much credit as every other woman on our roster. Nobody should be overlooked, and that’s not the goal to overlook anybody’s name. Every single person is a huge reason for why this happened. You know, I’m a big fan of AJ Lee’s, I really am," Stephanie told Metro UK.

AJ recently stated she is "very retired."

Stephanie also commented on CM Punk potentially returning to the ring, saying, "I think Punk’s been pretty vocal that he’s not interested in an in-ring return right now, but for sure, that would be interesting."

Punk joined WWE Backstage in November but has stated he is not actively pursuing an in-ring return.

Stephanie has been making the media rounds this week. In a separate interview, she discussed the possibility of a secondary women's title. You can read her comments by clicking here.
