Stephanie McMahon Wants Serena Williams In WWE

Stephanie McMahon is aiming high.

With Ronda Rousey becoming the biggest women's superstar in WWE, Stephanie McMahon is hoping to attract other female athletes from various sports to step inside the ring. Speaking to Gary Stonehouse of The Sun, Stephanie was asked which female athlete she would like to see in WWE.

“Serena! I want Serena. She’s awesome.”

Tennis legend Serena Williams remains at the top of her game in her sport having just made the Finals of the US Open and Wimbledon this year.

WWE has long admired Serena for what she has accomplished on and off the court. In 2016, Stephanie referenced Serena as being one of the pioneers in leading a women's revolution in other sports in her Player's Tribune article. Williams was often referenced on WWE television at the beginning of the Women's Revolution for breaking barriers as a female athlete.

In 2017, they sent her a custom WWE title following her victory at the Australian Open.

Williams posted a picture of the belt on Reddit, showing off how big it is.

Earlier this year, James Ellsworth and WWE tried to get Williams' attention once again through social media.

Just last month, McMahon again shared her admiration for Serena over what she's done for women athletes.

There is no indication that Williams has any interest in joining WWE.
