Steve Maclin became the first-ever TNA International Champion at TNA Unbreakable, defeating AJ Francis and Eric Young in a triple threat match.
The finish saw Maclin hit the KIA on Francis for the victory.

The TNA International Championship was instituted by Santino Marella after taking the TNA Digital Media Championship from Steph De Lander and Mance Warner.
AJ Francis qualified by defeating Sami Callihan and Mance, Eric Young earned his spot with a victory over JDC and Zachary Wentz, and Steve Maclin punched his ticket with a win over Ace Austin and Eddie Edwards
