Steve Maclin To Get IMPACT World Title Rematch On 6/30 At IMPACT Down Under Tour

Steve Maclin is looking to regain the IMPACT World Championship.

At IMPACT Against All Odds, Steve Maclin was defeated by Alex Shelley for the IMPACT World Championship. Maclin's reign lasted only 54 days after a two year journey to reach that point. He won the belt at Rebellion, defeating KUSHIDA for the belt that had been vacated by Josh Alexander.

On the June 15 episode of IMPACT, Maclin said that he shouldn't need a rematch, arguing that the bout at Against All Odds should have been thrown out after his head was bounced off of an exposed turnbuckle. He also hates the fact that Scott D'Amore finally got what he wanted most, the title off of Maclin's waist.

Regardless, IMPACT has announced that Maclin will challenge Alex Shelley for the World Title on June 30 at IMPACT's Down Under Tour.

Additional details on the tour can be found here.

Shelley is currently slated to defend the IMPACT Championship against Nick Aldis on July 15 at Slammiversary.
