Steve Maclin hoped to keep news of his TNA departure quiet.

On June 7, Fightful Select reported that Maclin had been granted his TNA release. TNA later posted a press release confirming the same.

Fightful Select is now reporting that “Steve Maclin had hoped to keep the word of the departure quiet, but TNA issued a press release announcing it.” They also noted that “TNA rarely issues a press release and didn’t consult Myla Grace or Maclin before making the decision.”
