Steve Maclin Pitched Going To Other Promotions When He Was ‘Fired’ By TNA

On the January 22 episode of TNA iMPACT!, Steve Maclin captured one of the four Feast or Fired briefcases.

Trey Miguel, Eric Young, and Eddie Edwards opened their briefcases to reveal title shots. Maclin’s briefcase led to him being fired.

Maclin remained on TNA television, targeting TNA Champion Mike Santana, eventually getting his job back on March 5, and getting a TNA World Title match at TNA Sacrifice.

Speaking on his Boots To Boots podcast, Maclin revealed he pitched going to other promotions during his unemployment period.

“It was really fun to sink my teeth into (the story). I wanted to be gone a little bit longer and maybe go to different promotions and try a couple of things. Obviously, that wasn’t going to happen. You can only pitch so much and get told no,” he said.

Elsewhere during the podcast, Maclin detailed his injury at TNA Sacrifice. You can find his full comments by clicking here.

We continue to wish Steve Maclin the best as he recovers.
