In December 2019, a rental car used by WALTER was the target of a smash-and-grab in Chicago, Illinois. Among the stolen items were the NXT UK Championship.
Fast forward 16 months and the title has been returned to WALTER in what turned out to be a heartwarming story.
TikTok user @vndschicago posted multiple videos, showing that he acquired the title on Offer Up and when he realized it was the authentic title, he returned it to WALTER and WWE. In a show of gratitude and appreciation, WWE sent back a replica title signed by Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and WALTER.

So the WWE UK championship that was stolen from Walter last year was recently bought by a fan for around $30, he then got in contact with Walter about it once he realised it was the real thing, WWE have giving him a signed replica in return.

WALTER successfully defended the NXT UK Championship on Wednesday against Tommaso Ciampa at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver night one and Thursday against Rampage Brown at NXT UK Prelude.
