Stone Cold Steve Austin praises Austin Theory’s Stunner sell at WrestleMania 38 and noting that he feels the ‘the sky was the limit’ for him.
On night two of WrestleMania 38, following a match Theory had with Pat McAfee on the show, Stone Cold would make his way to the ring, hitting his Stunner on both match participants and Vince McMahon, with Theory’s leaping sell of the move being widely praised by fans. Now, Austin has done the same.
While speaking on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Stone Cold Steve Austin was asked about Theory and his Stunner sell, noting that he feels ‘the sky was the limit’ for Theory.
“Oh, premiere. I don’t know what the kid’s doing now. Is he still in WWE? [He is]. Okay, yeah. Good kid. I mean, I thought, Man, the sky was the limit for him. He took a great one. McAfee took a great one, just the fade back, money. And of course, when he tumbled out a ring, he was still drinking the beer while he’s laying on the mat. F*cking classic. What an entertainer. And he was thinking about it, you know, I knew his ad lib. He wasn’t planning that. It just happened, and it was straight money.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Austin spoke about ‘What?’ as a catchphrase. You can read more about that here.
