"Straight Up Steve Austin" Averages Less Than A Million Viewers For First Time

Steve Austin's show on the USA Network got its lowest viewership since it premiered.

Showbuzz Daily reported that the August 26 episode of "Straight Up Steve Austin" averaged just 987,000 viewers, down from last week's show which did 1.078 million viewers. Although the show also did slightly worse in the 18-49 demographic, averaging a 0.39 rating, it finished ninth on cable for August 26, which is better than the 10th position the August 19 episode got with a 0.41 rating in that demographic.

For this week's show, Austin spoke with Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield and included an appearance from Cleveland Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens. The show airs immediately after WWE Monday Night Raw.

The show had also the smallest lead-in from the third hour of Raw. The third hour of Raw averaged less than 2.3 million viewers which is lowest viewership for that hour ever since Austin's show premiered on the USA Network. The August 26 episode of Raw averaged 2.527 million viewers.

As for the September 2 episode of "Straight Up Steve Austin" will feature current Raw Women's champion Becky Lynch as Austin's guest. The guest for the September 9 episode is NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.
