Street Profits Discuss Having The Freedom To Be Themselves On WWE TV

Since being called up to WWE Raw in July 2019, the Street Profits have not strayed from who they were in NXT. While some NXT call ups get lost in the shuffle or undergo a character change, Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins have been able to maintain the personality that made fans fall in love with them.

Speaking on Table Talk, the Street Profits discussed being able to maintain their freedom on the Raw roster.

"If it was any other way, I'm not sure it would have worked. Me and Dawkins, even when we formed the tag team, they came to us with the idea, but we knew each other before then. The only way we've known to be a tag team is us being us. For us to get that freedom, that's what gave us the edge and what helped us. It's just us being us," said Ford.

Dawkins added, "I remember in NXT, we were trying to not be ourselves and people could tell right off the bat, 'what was that?' People were like, 'We need ya'll to be 1000%, on ten, every time you're on camera. We know how you are outside of here, so we need you to be that times 1000 when the red light is on.'"

Street Profits were also asked about the differences between NXT and Raw and both men said they didn't feel as if there was a big difference between the two brands.

Ford & Dawkins are currently the reigning Raw Tag Team Champions.
