The WWE Tag Team Titles are currently held by The Bloodline (Tama Tonga & Jacob Fatu). WWE announced that Fatu is currently sidelined with an injury. Tonga Loa was holding one-half of the titles in Fatu's absence.
Fatu & Tama were shown on the promotional graphic for the match, which goes down on the August 23rd episode of WWE SmackDown.
In semifinal matches, the Street Profits defeated A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) while DIY defeated Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) on the August 9th episode of WWE SmackDown.
