Stu Grayson Discusses Emotional Origins Of C4 Wrestling Fighting Back

Stu Grayson discusses how C4 Wrestling’s Fighting Back events raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society and shares his personal connection to the origins of these events.

On August 11-12, Mystery Wrestling set a record with the longest match ever, which lasted 21 hours, 49 minutes, and 12 seconds and was broadcast live on Twitch. Also, C4 Wrestling recently held its 14th Fighting Back event, raising more money for the Canadian Cancer Society. Stu Grayson is the man who won the record-setting match.

Speaking with Fightful’s Joel Pearl, Grayson shared the personal connection that he and Evil Uno have to the origin of these shows, as they honor the life of their former tag team partner, Phrank Morin.

“Well, the reason we are doing this is because our best friends, back in the day, Evil Uno, myself, we were not a team, we were trios with a friend of ours named Phrank Morin. Unfortunately, he died of a cancer very young and afterward, we decided that the thing we do best, which is pro wrestling, would now be used to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. From that day on, moving forward, C4, Evil Uno and myself have been fighting to organize the biggest wrestling show in Ottawa possible with which we raise as much money as possible doing all kinds of crazy stunts, video game stuff, wrestling stuff and obviously now this year was to break the record for the longest wrestling match in history. That was very successful this year. So huge thank you for everyone who joined on the stream and watched us… I want to say wrestle, but some wasn’t wrestling. It was insane. Thank you so much. I feel like this year with the big show we have right now, Finding Back is sold out currently. I feel like it’ll be one of our best years in terms of raising money. We’re already very proud and the night has just started. Huge thank you to everyone who’s supporting us.”
