Summer Rae Returns To In-Ring Action

She has made her independent wrestling circuit debut.

Yesterday during the 'Battle Championship Wrestling' Women's Championship tournament a former WWE talent made her return to in-ring competition for the first time since the summer of 2016 and her name is Summer Rae. Summer Rae's last televised match while she was a part of WWE was the WrestleMania 32 pre-show as she partook in a multi-woman tag team match.

In July of 2016 Summer Rae was drafted to the RAW brand as a part of the WWE Draft but never officially made her debut due to nagging injuries. In October of 2017 along with Fred Rosser and Tenille Dashwood, Summer Rae was released from her WWE contract.

After two years removed from the squared circle and eight months into her post-WWE career, Summer Rae made her return to compete in the 'BCW' Women's Championship tournament and she took on former SHINE Champion Ivelisse Velez. Rae was not successful in her in-ring return and was bounced from the first-round of the tournament but nonetheless she has returned to the sport of pro wrestling.
