Here is your fight size update following AEW Dynamite on May 29, 2024.

Below are highlights and some of our best headlines following the event on Wednesday night.

Lee Moriarty Captures ROH Pure Title From Wheeler Yuta At ROH Death Before Dishonor 2024

- Swerve Strickland had the first match on the show, defeating Killswitch in a match presented by HBO's House of the Dragon. After the AEW World Champion successfully defeated the former Luchasaurus, he cut a lock of his hair as payback for Killswitch yanking out some of his hair in the build-up to Strickland's match with Christian Cage at AEW Double or Nothing 2024.

- Kris Statlander explained why she turned on Willow Nightingale at AEW Double or Nothing, revealing that she would no longer be acting as protection for the fan favorites on the roster but instead, they would need protection from her.

- Daniel Garcia is calling his shot and wants the AEW International Title. While that Championship is currently held by Will Ospreay, Ospreay will be defending the title on Saturday Collision against Kyle O'Reilly.

- Speaking of Will, he has earned the right to face Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. He did so by winning the Casino Gauntlet that headlined the show.

- That match featured a whole host of surprises, including the return of Lio Rush. Learn more here.

- Mercedes Mone had a roller coaster of a night on May 29. She opened the show with her celebration after winning the TBS Title but it was cut short when she was attacked by Skye Blue. This would lead to her defeating Blue in her first match on AEW TV but that celebration with cut short as Stephanie Vaquer, the current NJPW STRONG Women's Champion arrived on the scene and had a brief staredown with Mercedes.
