Swerve Strickland defeated Samoa Joe at AEW Dynasty to win the AEW World Title.
The finish saw Swerve hit the swerve stomp for the win.
The finish was a back and forth affair with Joe kicking out of a House Call and Swerve kicking out of the Muscle Buster.
Confetti capped the celebration for Swerve.

This marks the first reign as AEW World Champion for Swerve Strickland. He is the first African American AEW World Champion. Samoa Joe held the title for 114 days after defeating MJF for the belt at AEW Worlds End. He made three successful title defenses.
